The Westword Music Showcase will take place on June 23 in more than a dozen venues across the Golden Triangle, putting the city's best bands on display. The two outdoor stages will present a variety of national and international artists, from Swedish songwriting duo Galantis and DJ/producer Bonobo to the rockers in the Front Bottoms, Joywave and Sunflower Bean and the folkies in Magic Giant. Local acts will be chosen from this ballot; the artists selected represent an impressive array of musicians, both well known and new to Showcase.

Every answer is automatically saved, but may be changed up until the close of the poll, at which time all saved answers are submitted for counting.

When the Westword Music Showcase started back in 1995, the bill had forty local acts and no national headliners. But like Denver, Showcase has grown over the years.

This year’s Showcase will take place on June 23 in more than a dozen venues across the Golden Triangle, shining a light on more than 75 of the best bands in the city.

The two outdoor main stages will present a variety of national and international artists, from Swedish songwriting duo Galantis and DJ/producer Bonobo to the rockers in the Front Bottoms, Joywave and Sunflower Bean and the folkies in Magic Giant.

Local acts performing will be chosen from this ballot, a roster of the best bands in the city nominated by more than 200 Colorado music experts, including talent buyers, studio owners, DJs, musicians and fans. The artists selected represent an impressive array of Colorado musicians, some of whom are well known to Showcase fans and others who will be new to the bill this year.

We’ve separated acts by genre, but read those designations with caution: These days, most musicians find influences across many sonic aisles. You’ll see some familiar names here, but many local superstars, such as Trev Rich and Nathaniel Rateliff, have been excluded from the ballot; those artists have been nominated and/or won many times in the past, and we want to carve out space for the next generation. (New to our Hall of Fame this year: SpydaT.E.K., Church Fire, Itchy-O, Andy Thomas' Dust Heart, Pink Hawks, Wheelchair Sports Camp, ATOMGA, Joshua Trinidad, Ron Miles, Dave Devine, Khemmis, Edison, SPELLS, Colfax Speed Queen, Dirty Few, Ned Garthe Explosion, Kitty Crimes, Trev Rich, Rubedo, Strange Americans, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Megan Burtt, Dragondeer, The Other Black, Ryan Chrys & the Rough Cuts, Native Daughters, Muscle Beach, Screwtape, CRL CRRLL, Echo Beds, Pandas & People, Primitive Man, AMZY, Allout Helter, The Still Tide, Natalie Tate, Delta Sonics.)

So mark June 23 on your calendar, then peruse the acts on this ballot and vote for your favorites. The deadline for voting is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 24.
